Barn Hop #16

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here today and ready to do-sa-do!

I've spent nearly the entire week organizing and cleaning out various rooms in the house (great therapy for keeping my mind off the fact that my daughter will be gone for two and a half months!). I hope to have a post sometime soon to share a couple of unique organizing ideas I utilized in the house, but for now, I'll leave it at that.

We're finally enjoying some slightly warm days and I was able to get some more seeds and plants in the garden. All my seedlings had been in a holding pattern so long that they nearly didn't make it. And in fact, a few didn't. We're getting such a late start in the garden, I don't have any pictures to show! It's basically just dirt right now.

I am trying to start get back into my habit of gardening a little each day rather than saving it all up for a long period. Sometimes that's necessary, but I find it does better if I'm out there checking on things each morning and evening, spending a bit of time pulling weeds, reseeding a crop, nipping a bug issue in the bud, picking ripe veggies, and just doing a general inspection. Not to mention I love to enjoy a cup of coffee early in the morning out in the garden or finish up the evening watching the sun get low, taking in all that's growing in the garden. It's not just about eating the produce, it's about the whole experience!
