Apron Eye Candy!
Just thought I'd share some favorite apron pics from Pinterest! today. A country girl at heart cares little about shoes and a lot about aprons!
I gotta go feed the chickens now.
Why do you like to wear an apron?

I don't know why I love an apron but I do. I think maybe it's the nostalgia of a time gone by that I am so desperate to recreate. Anyway, I love a full apron and just acquired this pattern, of which I have now made several. I love this one!! I think it's because it's called a canning apron and I do love to can.

Now that's a lot of aprons... They are all too cute.. I have aprons but strangely, I never wear them! :(
ReplyDeleteI have three or four of them...but I forget to wear them. Maybe I'll get one out and purpose to put it on today?
ReplyDeleteLove all the aprons, vintage and new.

I wear aprons all the time. I have a big one that I pull over my head for cooking, half aprons that I wear for company, and a tunic-type one that I wear when I work in the garden sometimes. I don't wear aprons when I'm doing heavy-duty work (hauling manure or fencing), but otherwise, I've got one on.
ReplyDeleteI love wearing aprons. It's like having a towel around your waist! i use it to wipe my hands on constantly while i'm cooking or cleaning. When i'm in the garden or gathering eggs! Love them.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I love love aprons and collect vintage ones. I also have several "chicken" themed ones too. They are so handy and useful for many things besides cooking!
ReplyDeleteOh my stars ~these are the cutest aprons. I have been a stay at home mom for 25 years. "I was wearing aprons~when aprons were not cool."
ReplyDeleteI wear aprons because I learned early on to be ready for the day ~ the times you are not will be the times you wished you had been.
So I get up every day get a shower, put on my makeup, fix my hair and dress cute~ then I put on my apron! My apron makes it possible to clean, cook, dust, gather eggs~ it is my super Mom cape.
What a fun post~so enjoyed the pictures!
Happy St. Patty's Day~
I like wearing aprons while I do housework because it makes me feel all "business" about getting that day's chores done! I love aprons and collect them!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the morning apron love. Have a great day!
So cute! I love the full bib one, it would save my shirts. I also wish I could find cute ADULT size leggings like my little daughter wears. I love leggings with boots but can't find anything fun!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the very first and very last pictures! Oh, I adore country life, chickens and colorful aprons! This made me smile a BIG smile! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love aprons... My mom just gave me seven new (very old) ones!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE all the pictures, REALLY! I looked at them again and I love them ALL!!!!
ReplyDelete<3 this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice assortment... I love them all. I'm happy to see using the iron is still a chore, with some of us! lol. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day! Luv-Loretta
ReplyDeleteI love wearing an apron, it makes me feel more feminine, especially when I have it on over a skirt, and makes me want to be in the kitchen more.
ReplyDeleteIn some ways my apron helps me stay focused on the task at hand. Like a pretty reminder that I'm in "kitchen-mode" or it's time to clean.
ReplyDeleteI have often told my sister that I should have an apron for some of my different chores so I remember which one I'm doing. :-) One for cleaning, one for the kitchen, an outside apron and a homeschooling apron. lol.

I love wearing an apron and I wear one most of the day.
ReplyDeleteI wear an apron every day! Last week we even took my van down to Les Schwab to drop it of and I realized when I got out that I still had my apron on.......oops! I guess that it just feels so normal that I forgot to take it off. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Photography Amy... I might have to do that with my girls :)
ReplyDeleteLove these! I am an apron girl. Love them. Have been buying them on ebay recently. Great place to get good ones (the frillier the better!) for a deal.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Love the photos, such bright cheerful colors on those aprons. I love aprons, to me they are a womans signature. The finishing touch. Useful for so much more than protecting clothes, such as: carrying eggs or produce to the house when you forget to get a basket, cleaning dirt off a little scraped knee, and wipping the tears that go with that scraped knee.
ReplyDeleteLove all those colors! And that laundry basket set-up.
ReplyDeleteI love the aprons. I found a really cute 70's looking apron at a garage sale and just love it.I call it my 70's housewife look ;). I think I am going to make myself a few more whenever I get a chance. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI published pics today of my poppy landscaping I was telling you about if you want to check it out.
Hi - this is my first time here & I am glad I found your blog! The idea of homesteading as you have explained it on your about page, is something I have always been drawn to, but never attempted because we live in a suburban area. You have inspired me to rethink my possibilities, thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteYour apron pictures are wonderful!! To answer your Q - I wear aprons to protect my clothes from baby messes, homeschooling projects & cooking. I also love to put any pockets to use for my phone & pen/notepad - all of which I can never locate, otherwise, when I need them!
Have a blessed day (and Happy St. Patrick's Day!)

I love wearing aprons. It helps with wear and tear on clothes and laundry is easier. I love all the ones on the clothes line. Very nice post.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Nothing says HOME better than an apron! Whether its cooking, cleaning or just crafting----an apron appropriately fits the Bill!
ReplyDeleteSo many scrumptious aprons! I love aprons and have several I wear on a regular basis. Wearing an apron puts me in the mood for spending a day in the kitchen baking or cleaning. When my boys were young they always got excited when I put one of my aprons on because they knew great stuff would be coming from the kitchen. I love how feminine they make me feel, they remind me of my grandmothers and great grandmothers and, of course, they prevent my clothing from getting damaged. I especially love my vintage aprons that have been handed down from my grands. I also have a few that I wear when I am puttering around in the garden and cleaning the house.
ReplyDeleteAmy, we're big on aprons around here too! They're not only useful but a fashion statement all to themselves. :)
ReplyDeletei'm almost always in a apron! i love extra pockets & to keep from wrecking my clothes!
ReplyDeleteOh my! How cute are those?!!! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet, sweet little aprons! I'll take 1 of each, thank you. '-) Yes, I wear an apron. My gr-ma (Bigmom) always wore an 'all over' apron & I have 1 of hers. It is a treasure to me & I keep it hanging in my kitchen. I do wear it from time-to-time, but she passed when I was 17 (1976 ~ doesn't seem possible that it's been so long) so I don't want it ruined or ripped. I switch between 2 aprons now, 1 my DD#2 made as a homeschool project or a red one.
ReplyDeleteAprons to a great job protecting my clothing from splatters & flour & such.
Blessings from Ohio...Kim<><
Love these pics! I need a few more aprons for sure! I like wearing my apron because it makes me feel extra domestic! It's my favorite thing!
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! Don't these photos remind you of a fresh spring day... funny, if you're wearing an apron your most likely to be dirty and sweaty too, but at least you'll look good while you work!
ReplyDeletethis would be a cute post for my Farmgirl Friday Blog Hop starting today! Come play farmgirl with us Amy... the more the merrier!

Love them yardbirds and clotheslines too...ahhh...simple. And I even see a crochet or knitted afghan...what could be more perfect.
ReplyDeleteAh! Makes me want to sew! But I don't really enjoy it. This might be a great inspirational kick though! I've sewn only one for myself so far. I love aprons because I don't have to worry about ruining my blouse!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... these looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteand practical as well.
I've only recently been reading, but saw this at the Farm Girl Blog hop... glad to see you posted it. I love the ones hanging on the different clothes lines!
...need to get the machine out, Pat
These pictures my make heart flutter. I've been wanting to start a little apron making business for quite some time now. I love to sew and I love aprons. And obviously my crush is shared by many others :)
